November

I can hardly believe that it is already November!

We have parent teacher conferences this week.

Currently we are studying insects. We are doing several activities: creating our own model insects using Model Magic, painting a mural of a habitat so we can hide some insects, we will be writing insect poems, and we have been reading several interesting books about all types of insects.

Thank you to the mysterious visitor that left some Legos in my classroom! The extra Legos will come in handy when we are doing the robotics project.

Next week we will be examining pumpkins and estimating how many seeds are in each pumpkin. Next we will count the seeds using different methods. Finally we will graph the number of seeds in each pumpkin using a bar graph.

On Friday, we will work together to make our own bread. While the bread is cooking we will write about "How to Make Bread". Hopefully it tastes good because we plan on eating it.

Well, I hope to hear from you soon!

Take care!

Hey All! It has been awhile since I have posted anything. I just wanted to let everyone know what is going on this week.

We have finished our first reading unit and will be review then testing this week. A great website to visit to help study for the spelling review test  is spellingcity.com. When you get to the site just click "Find A List" and type "gl 2". The first five units have titles (from "David's New Friends" and "My Name Is Yoon".

We are also continuing to discover new and interesting things about insects! This week we will be creating models of insects (our own creations). We will also be creating a classroom mural.

I'm really looking forward to a great week!
